1 Somerset v Gloucestershire - 18 June 2017
One ladies team was entered into this event (O40+) which took place on a very, very hot day at the University of Bath. Glos ladies came away victorious, winning 3-0. However, it was a struggle to get enough interest and with only 10 players, Somerset helped out by providing an additional player (who scored one of the goals). The other 2 goal scorers were Tracey Newman – Badgers and Sara Sleeman – Lydney.

Thanks to Sarah McDonald for taking over the organising of the available players a week ahead of the event and Laura Bucknell for being Captain on the pitch.

2 West Masters County Festival Day, Taunton - 17 Sept 2017
As usual there is only one age group for ladies in this event and it is open to anyone over the age of 40. Invites have been sent to all GHA club secretaries, plus individuals who have passed on their contact details to the GHA. Info is also available on the GHA website.

3 Masters Home Internationals
This year the women’s event was held in Dublin from Fri 23 to Sun 25 June.
Bridget Worth (Lydney HC) played for Wales 055s
Lorna Dymock (Lansdown HC) played for England 060s – Winning gold medal
Sally Privett played for England 055s - Winning gold medal

4 Masters European Cup – Tilburg Holland – Aug 2017 (Men & Women)
This event has just finished. Bridget Worth (Lydney HC) played for Wales and Sally Privett played for England – both in the 055s age group.

The final results for the England Women’s Squads were as follows:
040s – Bronze
045s – Siler
050s – Silver
055s - Gold

It was a fantastic event with fabulous facilities and was really well organised.

5 Grand Masters European Cup (Men & Women)
The Grand Masters are teams 060 and above. At present the women only play up to 060 and Lorna Dymock (Lansdown HC) is playing for England. This event is currently taking place in Glasgow and at the time of writing this report the ladies have only played one match, winning
4-0. The event in being televised on You Tube - QTV Sports.
